A couple of weeks ago we asked our colleagues from Bertling Hamburg, Bremen, and Neuss to support the help project organized by Hanseatic Help in Hamburg, to collect and deliver relief goods to Ukrainian refugees.
Hundreds of people – among them many children – still arrive in Hamburg every day, leaving their destroyed hometowns in Ukraine to stay in Germany for an unknown period of time, maybe even forever. And here starts the work of Hanseatic Help to provide refugees with reliefs goods for a good start in Germany, in particular hygiene products, baby items, clothes, and school items.
A few weeks ago, we were happy to deliver our first cartons with donations to Hanseatic Help, which is based at Grosse Elbstrasse 264 in Hamburg, where everybody can bring their donations from Tuesday to Saturday between 10:00 am - 06:00 pm. Here are a few pictures showing Therese Strootmann and Stephanie Luening from Bertling Hamburg at the Hanseatic Help Center:
Now is summer vacation time in Germany, but the new school year will start soon and, therefore, especially school items including school bags, pens, notepads, etc are needed the most right now to ensure that the children from Ukraine have all they need to go to school here in Germany at the end of August. On this page, you can see all items listed, that Hanseatic Help needs the most at the moment: https://www.hanseatic-help.org/ukraine-hilfe/
Everybody can and is asked to help. We from Bertling Logistics will continue to support the important work of Hanseatic help and are currently collecting backpacks, schoolbags, and sports bags from our colleagues in Germany, which we will then deliver again to Hanseatic Help later this month. We #standwithurkaine.
