Today 1 November is International Stress Awareness Day, as declared by the International Stress Management Association. Chronic stress over a long period can lead to more severe health concerns, so it is important to recognize chronic pressure and deal with it appropriately.
We at Bertling Logistics have reminded our global staff to review our Stress Awareness Training again and reminded them of the importance of mental balance for their wellbeing.
Why celebrate Stress Awareness Day?
The first thing that the organization (International Stress Management Association) emphasizes is not to worry too much about celebrating the day. In other words, do not make it another thing you need to worry about.
Secondly, spend some time increasing stress awareness in your own life. Then, create a plan to cope with those things, so they do not put as much pressure on you.
To break the chain reaction, National Stress Awareness Day is a day-long event to take a deep breath and embrace peace. The day is celebrated mid-week on Wednesday (usually the most exhausting, stressful day) to remind individuals and companies that stress management is fundamental to optimum performance.
The best possible advice that can be given if you believe you’re suffering from stress or any form of mental health issue is to talk to someone, whether that’s a line manager, colleague, friend, relative, or Doctor. Stress and Mental Health issues can be dealt with successfully, but speaking out is always the first and most important step.
We hope you enjoy a calm and stress-free Wednesday.
