IWD focuses each year on a specific topic, and this year’s theme is “Accelerate Action” to reach gender equality. What does this theme stand for? At the current pace, “it will take until 2158, which is roughly five generations from now, to reach full gender parity", according to data from the World Economic Forum. However, collective efforts could help shorten the time required.
