It’s Freight Friday, and time to highlight another challenging project our air freight logistics experts have been working on: an Air Charter shipment to transport Oil and Gas Wellheads/Conductors from Johor and Kuala Lumpur to Prestwick in Scotland. In total, 10 cargoes with a chargeable weight of 40,248kg had to be collected, packed and loaded without delay before the start of the CNY 2025 holidays commenced.
In addition to the relatively short lead time, the preparation and packing of the largest cargo, measuring 2030x121x142cm and weighing 22,050kg, was a challenge, but our air freight experts came up with a solution to palletise the cargo on 3x aircraft pallets for the safe lifting/loading into the aircraft and safe onward transportation.
In the meantime, the charter arrived safely in Scotland for the onward transportation to the jobsite. A big thank you to our colleagues from Malaysia and Aberdeen, in collaboration with our Air Freight Logistics office in Düsseldorf on this successful Air Charter.
