Our Bertling Chile office has achieved an important milestone for by transporting two 80-ton transformers by ship from Changshu Port, China to Valparaiso Port in Chile. Bertling’s SOW included the offshore as well as the onshore transportation up to the designated warehouse in Santiago, including the warehousing itself until the transformers will be installed at their final destination.
The cargo is part of a Data Center for the whole Latam Region built in Santiago de Chile. The total cargo, transformers, and accessories consisted of 35 packages – 250 FRT in total. A special challenge was to load and transport the two main transformers, which weighed 80 tons each.
