Bertling’s SOW included road transportation and offloading for a 500MVA 400/220/22kV Transformer from Richards Harbour Port to Diphororo, including offloading at Site.
The Transformer measured 10 x 4.1 x 5m and weighed 210 tons in total. This is part of the Power Utility organization’s development plan to connect new generation capacity aligned with a renewed localization approach to ensure access to reliable electricity transmission across the country.
Over the next 10 years, it is envisaged 101 large-scale and various other sizes of transformers will be required for the infrastructure build rollout.
