This complex project took us from Sweden to Belgium, where Bertling coordinated the transport of two heavy shunt reactors (SHRs) to different sites with unique logistical demands.
The project involved port operations, ocean freight, road transport, crane operation, and thorough site assessments. The heaviest SHR piece weighed in at 120 tons and required careful planning due to an off-centered center of gravity. Close collaboration with the client and suppliers enabled seamless, on-time delivery despite site-specific challenges.
POL: Sweden

Industry: Power
Bertling Team: Sweden & UK
For Site 1, precise timing was crucial, as the delivery had to coincide with power shutdown. At Site 2, additional groundwork — including transport beams, wooden mats, and protective plating— was required to navigate sensitive roads, with our skilled driver reversing along several kilometers of challenging terrain.
Our team from Sweden and the UK worked closely with our client and suppliers, overcoming each hurdle with a positive, solution-oriented approach. Another successful project, thanks to teamwork and meticulous planning!
