Bertling executed a complex movement of FPSO modules between two shipyards in China.
Destined for the FPSO Almitante Barroso MV32, the largest module was the Seawater Treatment Package 20.85 x 16.35 x 12.15m @ 226Te. The shipment also included a smaller SRU Membrane & De-aeration Vacuum Skid weighing 26.5Te.

Bertling’s scope of work included sea fastening grillage design & installation, charter of deck carrier vessel, sea fastening for transit, the provision of SPMT’s for roll-off as well as full on-site supervision of the work.
The two packages were loaded out by gantry crane at Jinglu Shipyard, Penglai and ro-ro discharged by means of SPMT at Bomesc shipyard in Tianjin.
Bertling also had to accommodate a late 180 degree change in loadout orientation for the Seawater Treatment Package which required modifications to the grillage on the deck carrier vessel before loadout.
