We are proud to announce that our teams from Bertling Logistics UK, Bertling Logistics Singapore, and Bertling Logistics Malaysia have worked together and achieved important milestones for the TechnipFMC involvement in the Begonia Field by transporting Subsea XTs and equipment from the manufacturing base in Malaysia and Singapore to Pasir Gudang where we responsible for all transport activities, safe loading to vessel, and safely seafastening for the onward journey to West Africa. With thorough pre-planning, appropriate subcontractor usage, and experienced project management on site for loading, the entire operation was conducted safely and without incident.
Cargo of Interest weighed in between 30-35t and measured in over 4.3m high – consignment total was over 290t and 470cbm. A special challenge was to coordinate all operations from site, through domestic transport, collection coordination, safe lifting through mobile cranes working in sim-ops, arranging secure access for service technicians, and gaining final approval from surveyor for sailaway.
